Senior AI-Native Full-stack Engineer (Python & React)
AERONES is seeking a pragmatic Senior Full-stack Engineer to deliver new functionality in the business platform that runs our operations, and to make that platform more reliable as it grows. In this role, you will join our R&D Platform Development team, build complete features in Python/Django, PostgreSQL and React/TypeScript, refactor and simplify existing modules, and build dependable integrations with NetSuite and customer systems, using AI coding agents every day as your main way of working.
Most of the work happens in a large existing Django platform with many modules and integrations, not a greenfield project. The job is to keep delivering while steadily making the system cleaner, safer and easier to change. The upside is direct impact: you agree what to build with the colleagues and customers who use it, and you see what every release changes in their daily work.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver complete features end to end: data model, migrations, services and APIs, React screens, background jobs, tests and monitoring.
- Make the platform more reliable as you build, with clear module boundaries, each business record owned and updated by one part of the system, and less duplication.
- Refactor existing modules safely, remove duplicate logic and dead code, and migrate data without downtime.
- Work with AI coding agents such as Claude Code as your main way of working: give them the right context, review their output critically, and own every line you merge.
- Build integrations with NetSuite and customer systems that are idempotent, retry safely, reconcile data and report errors clearly.
- Agree requirements and acceptance criteria directly with users in operations, finance, engineering and customer teams, and confirm the result with them after release.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 7+ years of professional development, with strong production Python/Django experience, including ORM and query optimisation, Django REST Framework, migrations and Celery.
- Strong React and TypeScript skills, with the ability to deliver complete features on your own.
- Solid PostgreSQL experience: schema design, constraints, transactions, indexing, query plans and zero-downtime migrations.
- Daily use of AI coding agents in production work, with concrete examples of how you plan, review and verify their output.
- Proven work in a large codebase you did not write, including safe refactoring and data migrations that other systems depend on.
- Experience building integrations that fail safely, covering authentication, timeouts, retries, duplicate prevention and reconciliation.
- Automated testing of business rules, permissions and failure cases, plus working experience with Docker, CI/CD, logging and error tracking.
- Experience gathering requirements directly with users and turning them into acceptance criteria, with an ownership mindset and fluent English.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay with a salary of €5,500 – €6,500 gross/month.
- Global impact through robotics shaping the future of renewable energy.
- Career growth with real opportunities to learn, develop, and advance.
